Standing in front of a spa menu with eight massage names on it is not the easiest moment to decide, especially when the descriptions all sound calm and similar. The useful question is not which massage is best, but which one matches how you feel and how much time you have.
This guide goes through the main treatments at EAZE Spa in Phuket Town, with what each one actually feels like, who it tends to suit, the usual lengths and the prices. Everything here is bookable in 60, 90 or 120 minutes unless noted, so you can match the session to the gap in your day.
If you already know you want scented oil, our separate guide to the six aroma blends goes deeper into that choice.
Start with how you want to be touched
Three questions narrow it down quickly. Do you want oil on your skin or not? Do you want stretching and pressure through clothing, or long gliding strokes? And do you want firm work on specific tight spots, or something even and steady from start to finish? Answer those and the menu shrinks to two or three options.
Thai massage, with or without oil
Traditional Thai massage
You stay clothed, no oil is used, and the therapist typically works with palms, thumbs, elbows and assisted stretches. It is rhythmic and active, and the stretching is what first-timers remember. Traditional Thai Massage is the most economical way to have a full-body session: 399 Baht for 60 minutes, 599 Baht for 90 minutes and 799 Baht for 120 minutes. Choose it if you like being moved rather than stroked, and say at the start how firm you want the pressure.
Thai massage with oil
The same approach softened by oil, so the pressing and stretching is joined by smoother, flowing movement over the skin. Traditional Thai Massage with Oil costs 690 Baht for 60 minutes, 990 Baht for 90 minutes and 1,350 Baht for 120 minutes. It is a good middle path if traditional Thai sounds too dry and a pure oil massage sounds too passive.
Adding a herbal compress
Warm herbal compresses can be pressed along the body between the usual Thai sequences, so the session alternates between hands and heat. This is now offered as a 350 Baht add-on rather than a separate booking, so you choose your massage first and add the compress to it. Many guests find the warmth makes firm pressure easier to accept.
Oil massage, aroma and deep tissue
Oil massage
Long, continuous strokes with oil and no stretching, run at a steady pace over the whole body. Oil Massage is 699 Baht for 60 minutes, 999 Baht for 90 minutes and 1,390 Baht for 120 minutes. This is the least demanding of the full-body options and the one most likely to send you to sleep.
Aroma oil massage
The same style of work with a scented blend that you choose at the start from six options. Aroma Oil Massage is 790 Baht for 60 minutes, 1,190 Baht for 90 minutes and 1,490 Baht for 120 minutes. The scent is the point of difference, and it is worth a moment at the counter to smell them rather than choosing by name.
Deep tissue massage
Slower and considerably firmer, with sustained pressure on specific tight areas rather than even coverage everywhere. Deep Tissue Massage is 990 Baht for 60 minutes, 1,490 Baht for 90 minutes and 1,890 Baht for 120 minutes. It suits people who habitually ask for stronger pressure and find lighter work unsatisfying. Tell your therapist where to concentrate, and speak up if the pressure is more than you want.
When you would rather stay in a chair
Not every visit needs a full-body booking. Two treatments are done seated and clothed, easy to add to a shopping trip or an evening out.
- Foot Reflexology works the feet and lower legs and is the most flexible option on the menu, at 250 Baht for 30 minutes, 399 Baht for 60 minutes, 599 Baht for 90 minutes and 799 Baht for 120 minutes.
- Neck, Shoulder & Foot Reflexology splits the time between the feet and the upper body, at 450 Baht for 60 minutes, 675 Baht for 90 minutes and 900 Baht for 120 minutes. It is the one to book when your shoulders and your feet both need attention and you cannot decide.
If you only have 60 minutes
An hour is enough for a real treatment, as long as you narrow the focus. Some suggestions:
- Tight all over and on a budget: traditional Thai massage at 399 Baht.
- Want oil and scent: aroma oil massage at 790 Baht.
- One stubborn area: deep tissue at 990 Baht, with clear instructions on where to spend the time.
- Tired feet and a tight neck: neck, shoulder and foot reflexology at 450 Baht.
What an hour does not suit is a full-body session where you also want a specific area worked thoroughly. For that, book 90 minutes.
After a long flight, or a day of walking
Travel days leave you stiff rather than sore, and the body usually wants warmth and slow movement rather than strong pressure. A 90-minute oil massage or aroma oil massage is an easy landing, and the herbal compress version is worth considering if you feel cold from hours of air conditioning.
After a day on your feet around town or on the beach, a full-body Thai massage covers the legs and the rest of the body in one visit, and the neck, shoulder and foot combination at 675 Baht for 90 minutes is the one to pick if your shoulders are tired too. If it is mostly the feet, a 30-minute foot massage can be added to your session for 250 Baht. Save deep tissue for a day when you are not already worn out, since firm work on tired legs is more than most people want.

Frequently asked questions
Which massage is best for a first visit?
If you have never had a Thai massage, 60 or 90 minutes of oil massage is the gentlest introduction. If you are curious about the stretching, book traditional Thai and ask for medium pressure.
Can I ask for lighter or firmer pressure?
Yes. Every treatment is tailored to the pressure and focus you prefer, and it is better to say so in the first few minutes than to wait until the end.
How far in advance should I book?
Booking ahead is sensible if you want a particular time, and the shop takes bookings online, by phone and through LINE. Booking online also gives you 10% off.
Do I need to bring anything?
No. You are welcomed with a chilled aromatic towel and a signature herbal drink, and treatments take place in private rooms.
