About this treatment

Candle Massage is built around a specially formulated massage candle. As it burns, the candle melts into a warm oil, which your therapist uses for the massage. The warmth, the gentle fragrance and the silky texture on the skin combine into a rich sensory experience.

The strokes are smooth and unhurried, letting the warm oil spread across the body. Alongside relaxation, the oil is intended to leave your skin feeling soft and nourished, which makes this a lovely choice after days of sun, sea and air-conditioning in Phuket.

Offered in longer 90 and 120-minute sessions, Candle Massage suits guests who want to rest and care for their skin in the same visit. It takes place in a private treatment room at EAZE Spa, near Central Phuket.

What happens during your visit

1. Begin your visit with a chilled aromatic towel and a signature herbal drink.
2. Your therapist goes over pressure, areas of focus, and any skin sensitivities, allergies or other precautions.
3. The massage candle is lit and allowed to melt into warm oil.
4. The therapist applies the warm oil and massages it in with slow, smooth strokes across the body.
5. When the last stroke is done, take a moment to rest before you leave.

• Getting here about 10 minutes early lets you start the session relaxed.
• Be sure to mention injuries, pregnancy, skin conditions or your preferred pressure.
• The candle oil is applied warm, so tell your therapist immediately if it feels too warm, and mention sunburn or very sensitive skin beforehand.
